Tyson was blessed on May 9th, 2010. Mother's Day of all days!
It was THE BEST first Mother's Day I could have hoped for!

After Sacrament, where we had the blessing, everyone came over to the house for a brunch. Laurie had some really good breakfast foods and some stuff to make some sandwiches for those who were in the mood for more of a lunch type meal. It seemed like EVERYONE wanted a turn to hold Tyson! By the time most of the people left he was starting to get really fussy. My mom had been holding him and he started to cry and she couldn't get him to stop and as soon as I took him and started to talk to him, hoping it would calm him down, he actually did calm down and so I gave him to someone else. After a little while he started to cry again so I took him back and had to be the one to hold him so that he could get in a decent nap! It made me feel fantastic!

A four generation picture. My dad, Tyson, Chris, and my Grandpa!

Scott and Carly with Tyson. Chris met Scott at work and they have turned into great friends!

Sean and Tyson
My parents live in Montana and haven't been able to come visit at all since before Tyson was born so this weekend was the first time for them to all meet. It was so nice for them to finally meet! I wish that we all lived closer together so that they would be able to be a little more involved but we understand that this is just the way things are going to be for now!

Tyson and Papa!

Tyson and Grammy!

Tyson and the other Uncle Ben, we call him Uncle Benny!

Tyson and Uncle Brian. Brian is so proud and excited to be an uncle!
That evening Chris and I went over to my Grandma's house where my parents were staying to spend sometime with them. We played Settlers of Catan with my mom and brothers. It was such a long game this time. I ended up winning though even though I was so hyper and had absolutely no attention span. It was so much fun!

I absolutely love being a mom!!! It is the best thing I have ever done with my life, that and being a wife! My boys are my world and I can't imagine what it would be like without them!

Oh I'm so glad you had a good mother's day and that your family made it there for the blessing. Tyson is so adorable. I hope we can make it there soon. Love you!
