We didn't do much for Easter this year. The Easter Bunny didn't make it to our house....maybe cause he wasn't sure what to give the crazy little one year old living here. It was a great day despite the absence of all the eggs and candy. We started the day with not much for breakfast, I actually forgot to eat. Then we got all ready for church. It was great fun getting Tyson all dressed up in his Easter suit from Laurie. I decided that I wanted to get a picture and ended up spending about 20 minutes chasing him around trying to get a decent picture and still feel like I didn't succeed. I did get some cute ones though. After church, we headed over to Laurie and Clair's to enjoy a wonderful dinner with family. Grandma and Grandpa Lamb came down from Logan and Ben, Wendi, and little Breckin came. It was a wonderful meal of ham, funeral potatoes, corn, asparagus, salad, and rolls. It was absolutely delicious! After dinner we visited and laughed. I got to hold little Breckin for a bit which just reminded me of how much Tyson really has grown and confirmed how baby hungry I am! No worries though, we are not going to be have another one any time soon.
Chris and I also headed down to the basement to collect all of his Marine Corps gear. That's right we were collecting it so that he could turn it all in when he went to sign his discharge papers on Monday. Now he hasn't signed the papers yet but they should be coming in the mail this week for him to review and sign then mail back. About a month or so after the process the papers and then he will get a phone call telling him that he is officially no longer in the Marine Corps. It is such a blessing and good feeling to know that we can put that part of our life behind us and press on with our future!
We are also excited that today is Chris's last class for the semester. He is taking his last final and then all he has to do is write a paper to turn in on Thursday and we'll been done with the semester. We will have him all to ourselves for the summer, besides work of coarse, and then it is back to school.
