First Mother's Day

With Mother's Day coming up next week it made me think of my first Mother's Day last year and what I got to do to celebrate being a mom. Tyson was blessed on Mother's Day last year. My family was able to come from Montana, my dad actually blessed Tyson. It was a beautiful blessing that made me think of all that I needed to do to help him to know and accomplish all he is capable of. It was great to be able to bring my mom and dad to their mothers to celebrate with. I think it had been quite a while since they had last spent a Mother's Day together.

As I reflect on my 13 months of being a mother, I realize that there is no perfect way to be a mom. Everyone does things different and that is how it is supposed to be. We all have our own beliefs and very different children. I truly believe that each child is unique in their own way. They all have different ways of being comforted and developing. No two children are going to develop at the same rate. Anyways, I am very blessed for the sweet spirit Tyson has blessed our home with along with his firecracker personality! I am grateful to be his mom and for children that will someday join our family. I feel that being a mother is the best calling in the world and there is nothing I would rather be doing with my time!
