Laurie and Clair are off in Cabo San Lucas for the week (lucky ducks!) and they asked Chris and I to house sit for them. We just fetch the mail, make sure Downey gets out before he messes in the house, and take out the trash cans to the curb. Other than that we just sit back and take full advantage of the Dish Network TV, the nice heated swimming pool, and the awesome theater room! Unfortunately, I came down with a cold on Sunday and have been pretty miserable most of the time we've been here but the weather has been pretty dull. It is cloudy and has been pretty much drizzling since Monday. We took full advantage of the pool over the weekend though.
Friday night we went out for dinner with Ben, Wendi, and Breckin. Then we came back to the house and swam for about half an hour. It was so exciting to kind of be a part of Breckin's first swimming experience. He is still just a bit too little to take all the way into the pool but Wendi sat on the steps and put his little bum in the water. It was so much fun! Saturday evening Celeste and Kris Smith came over with their cute kids, Jersey and Drae. They were so excited to swim. It was pretty cloudy and if we got out of the pool we were freezing so we didn't swim for too long but long enough to satisfy us for the day. They came over again Sunday afternoon. It was much warmer even though the wind was blowing. We had a great time in the pool. We were in there for about 3 hours. Tyson was starting to doze in the pool. It was so funny! He ended up taking a 3 hour nap and then going to bed about and hour and a half later. It was crazy! I didn't get any pictures in the pool but Jersey and Tyson had fun playing after on Saturday!
Tyson has learned a few new little acrobatics this weekend. He likes to climb up on the fireplace and crawl around up there. It totally freaked me out the first time he got up there until he showed me that he could climb right back down. It was insane! He has now conquered going back down the stairs! It is pretty great that he has learned to get back down the stairs but it still makes me very nervous and we go in front of him to make sure he doesn't decide to try something crazy!
This crazy boy still totes a fleece blanket everywhere he goes. I am starting to think that I need to make a few smaller ones for him for the summer!
It has been a nice little vacation for us to be in this nice big house instead of our tiny little apartment! We are looking to a fun couple more days before Laurie and Clair get home on Sunday!

Thats fun you get to house sit I bet it does feel like a little vacay. Even when we spend the night at Shads parents it feels that way. No cooking, cleaning, just get to relax while the grandparents play with Bailee.
I was going to ask if you had any ideas for fathers day presents? I thought it might be fun to do a craft together? Im not sure what to get my dad & father in law but know what Im getting Shad. Last year we made those little scrapbooks for our hubs.
