First 2 Weeks

2 Weeks and 2 Days Old

This was Daddy's first day back at work. I missed him so much!

I love to sleep and I grin in my sleep now too!

I like to stretch out when I sleep now instead of sleeping in a little ball!


I love to cuddle with my Dad! This is my favorite thing to do and my Daddy loves it too!

This was the day of my first Doctors appointment. He was so mean and made me take off all of my clothes and then it took forever for him to check me and I got hungry while we were waiting for him.

I gained 14 ounces in 6 days and am nice and healthy though. The doctor thought I was cute and said that I was growing super good! We get to go back next week to see him again!

I love to sleep in my swing! I love it even more now that it isn't as cold outside so Mom doesn't have to bundle me up so much! It makes it much more comfortable without all the extra layers!

I love my Binkie! I always have to have it to get me to go to sleep! When I am awake though I am happy without it when I am looking around at the whole world!


These first few weeks have been quite the adventure! I have learned so much about what it takes to be a Mom and I am loving it! I started off nursing him but things were not going well with it at all because he would not cooperate at all and it would just frustrate me! We worked at it for just over a week but it was just too much for me so this last weekend we decided to switch over to formula feeding. He is so much happier now and sleeps a ton better than he did before which means that I sleep a ton better. He has grown a ton since we've brought him home and grows more and more everyday. He loves to spend an hour after he eats looking aroud at everything and just being awake. He has this little rattle that he liked the noise of but he couldn't really see it because it was such a pale color so I went out and bought a more colorful one the other day and he loves to look at it. He follows it when I move it from side to side in front of his face. It is just so much fun!
Chris and I are so blessed to have such a wonderful little boy! He is such a blessing in our lives and we can't wait for him to keep growing and for our relationships with him to keep growing and developing ! He is so precious and we just love him to death! I am so excited to see him develop his own personality and become his own individual!
Just to throw this in there, I think he looks more like Chris than me and I am so glad that he does! There are still traits from my side of the family in him but I mostly see his Dad when I look at his cute little face!
The adventure has now begun and I am so excited to see how it all plays out! We are defenitely just getting started!
