HE HAS A TOOTH!

Ok, obviously this is new mommy being all crazy about a little tooth but I am just so excited! He finally has a tooth. It is actually different than the one that I posted about last time. That tooth decided to go away but the one right next to it came out of no where. It is finally through the gums and he looks to darn cute with his little white line in his gums. It is pretty much even with the top of his gums right now but the worst part of the battle is done.

On the down side, Tyson has his very first ear infection. Sunday morning he woke up with a yucky snotty nose, a slight cough, and low grade fever. By the time a got home from work on Monday, his temp was up to 102.2 and he sounded like he was having a difficult time breathing and was definitely breathing faster than normal so naturally I called the doctor's office. They told me I needed to get him in today and that they would see if Dr. Evans would stay late or if I needed to see the other pediatrician in the office. Dr. Evans was awesome and stayed for us so we went in at 5. Sadly, he was running behind and it was almost 6 when we finally got to see him. He asked about his symptoms and then took a listen to his heart and lungs. He said not only was he breathing quickly but his heart was also racing. Everything sounded clear though which just took a weight off my shoulders. I had noticed when we got to the office that Tyson was starting to pull at his left ear and mentioned that so Dr. Evans looked. His right eardrum was a little red but nothing serious but his left ear was definitely infected. Dr. Evans was kind enough to explain that with a fever sometimes rapidness and difficulty breathing and the rapid heart rate were side effects especially on such a little one. He gave us a prescription for Amoxicillin and sent us on our way. It is amazing what an effect the antibiotic has had in just 3 doses. His fever is practically gone and his appetite is almost back to normal! I'm so glad we were able to get in yesterday and get things figured out before it got worse! What a blessing!

On to a happier note, he has pretty much figured out how to crawl. Today he had moments where he had his arms and legs moving together and was actually crawling instead of just launching himself forward! I am excited but I am not really sure if I am ready for this!!! We are definitely going to be doing some hardcore baby proofing in the next week or so!
