Just Like My Mom

As I am sitting here at the computer checking my e-mail and other peoples blogs I am eating a delicious snack! I am making little frosting sandwiches out of chocolate frosting and graham crackers and a voice came to my head saying "Your just like your mother." What a thought! I started to think and I realized that I really am! She passed on to me many of her wonderful traits, talents, and yummy favorite snacks! I swear she is one of the only people I know of that make these delicious little sandwiches. It sure is where I learned it from! I also love to make chicken salad sandwiches, nothing but mayo and chicken on toasted bread with butter!!! She has also passed on to me her love of crafting and her thrifty ways. I love to sew although I do not have much time for it. I remember being a little girl and my mom would make all of my dresses for big occasions. She made my sister and I Christmas dresses and Easter dresses. Also dresses for just whenever we chose to wear them. She made us vests and pajamas. She also cooked lots and lots of yummy foods. Although I don't cook all that often right now I am working really hard to be better at it and absolutely love to cook! She taught me to love children and how to treat them well and care for them. She has also taught me to be a very open minded person. Hardly ever do I hear her talk poorly about a person. Whenever I would complain back in high school or when I started to work she would always say maybe that person was having a bad day or think about their situation! She even does it to people who I really seem to think aren't so deserving of the kind thoughts! She is such an amazing women and I am happy that I am turning out to be kinda like her! I sure wouldn't want it any other way!

Your mom sounds like a wonderful lady. I think its funny as we get older the more we realize how much we really are like our parents. I've never thought of graham crackers with choc frosting sounds yummy. I've had nutella with graham crackers though sounds kinda similar.
